"Away from the hustle and bustle of Yaroslavl is the village of Kurba. Green trees, tranquil silence and traditional buildings create this unique pocket of Russia where a weekend is well spent. I was fortunate enough to be invited to spend the weekend in a friend's dacha in Kurba and I can honestly say it was one of the best weekends of my life. We spent the day exploring the area, wading through grass, climbing ruins of an old church to gaze out over the surrounding countryside, and walking through the dachas. Time spent in Kurba gives a glimpse of rural Russia and is something that is not to be missed."
